Experience

I have worked with children most of my life. As a teenager I worked with Camp Sunshine (a special needs camp) and as an Eagle Scout I went on to be a Scout Master for many years. I also spent some time coaching youth sports as well as teaching Sunday School. So I decided to make a career out of doing what I enjoyed. I went to Auburn University and earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education. I have taught for 10 years in public schools and 4 years in private education. During that time I was for the most part a 3rd grade teacher, but I took every opportunity to work with students in every grade. I frequently held workshops for reading, writing, science, and CRCT prep. I have a great deal of experience helping children in many ways. I hope I can help your child to succeed and continue on to a wonderful life of learning.
